Where rose the first tulip

«In Holland!» - So to answer almost everyone who asked a similar question. Although, in reality, this is the birthplace of tulips Turkey. Holland can be safely described as the second birthplace of tulips and a paradise on earth. In this country, like flowers and are grown almost everywhere - from the small pot on a window sill to the vast fields. This is indeed a real country of tulips.



The Dutch have created an enormous number of beautiful varieties of tulip. And what beautiful names breeders offer new classes? They are called names, even royalty! Previously, names were tulips in honor of Jackie Kennedy, Eleanor Roosevelt, Diana Ross, Edith Piaf, and even Jeanne d, Arc. Perhaps precisely because so many new, beautiful and fragrant varieties of tulips to us it comes to Holland, many people mistakenly believe that it is their homeland.



Yet let us not forget that there are from Turkey. In the 16 century for its huge colorful pictures of tulips famous Constantinople, which began around-the-world journey of colors. It was then the Austrian ambassador Ogir de Busbek saw them the first time and took onions with them to Vienna, where later described the 50 different varieties of tulips and started breeding them.



They say that the Viennese gardens with tulips is constantly attacked. The bulbs of beautiful flowers taken in other countries but the Netherlands is still a country of tulips.
